What is G-Sensor

I am not technical but I can say that it is an accelerometer. An accelerometer is a sensor that measures the amount of acceleration in a device or a project. A G-Sensor measures the amount of tilt in a device like a tablet pc or mobile phone. If you tilt your phone from landscape mode to potrait mode, your screen positions itself accordingly. I guess it is the G-Sensor working if you are playing a racing game in your tablet. You can let your race vehicle turn by tilting the tablet to the right or left side. I am not sure if a g-sensor is the same as a gyroscope.

G-sensor and gyro-sensor measure acceleration and tilt in a device. You may have no direct use with these sensors but developers use them to build features. Some of the features that use these sensors:
In games, tilting the device to manoeuvre a bike.
