Resource intensive processes can slow down a Chrome browser. You can use the Chrome browser's Task Manager to check which one is using up a lot of resources and end it.

To Access Task Manager and End Resource Intensive Processes:

  • Right-click on Chrome browser's 'tabs bar' at the top of the screen.
  • enable chrome task manager

  • Click 'Task Manager'. This opens the task manager that shows the processes and their resource usage. Identify the processes that are resource intensive.
  • chrome task manager

  • Select the resource intensive processes. Click 'End Process'. Note: 'End Process' could close a tab or stop an extension from working. Be sure you are not stopping something that is needed.
